Artists
in the Pines
brings together five workshops designed to foster anyone’s muse!
Music, art, prose – some improv and even playing in the dirt.
We have kept the workshop participant numbers low in this intimate natural
locale so you can get the most from these special instructors. This also
means that classes could fill up...so book your sessions early! Weekend pass includes accommodation, meals and workshops (some additional
materials fees will apply), jam and improv sessions.
If you cant join us for the entire weekend you can take individual
workshops…check out the weekend
schedule or email us for details.

Tessa
Nunn, Learn to capture the spirit of the trees.
Join Tessa Nunn as she guides beginner and advanced artists through the process
of making art. Experiment with the medium of your choice, watercolour, pencil,
charcoal, oil painting etc as you try and still the rhythms of the landscape.
Meditation and gentile yogic movement are woven into lessons on composition,
light, colour and illusion; these serve as a way to center, quieten the mind,
and allow for a higher level of awareness to unfold. Bring your own materials as
Tessa will be accommodating instruction in the medium of your choice. Details
on what to bring and what to expect...
Workshops on both days: 9am-11am, noon-2:30pm, 3pm-5:30pm

Paulette Dube, Participants will become involved with the movement of people, animals, insects, birds, rocks, ice, air, water – the sentient beings and motivations that live and move through this valley. Jasper is deemed a confluence or meeting of the waters; that means a lot of motion, a lot of different energies gather here. How do we recognise them? How do they affect us? Which outside structures affect our interior landscapes the most, and why? We will explore these questions by walking, reading and writing short prose pieces and poetry. Paulette suggests you be armed with paper, a hard surface to write on and writing utensils.
Workshops on both days: noon-2:30pm, 3pm-5:30pm
