Carnival vs Royal Caribbean – Which has a better fleet?

A cruise is a great way to spend your holidays, but choosing the right cruise line for your vacation can be a bit overwhelming especially with all the vast information available.  In addition, there are a lot of cruise ships from different cruise lines to choose from.  There are cruises that are geared towards family vacation; others are designed for the younger crowds.  There are those designed for those who want the conventional cruise experience.  There are a number of cruise lines available, the two most popular are the Royal Caribbean Cruise lines and Carnival Cruise Lines.

They have relatively the same prices, with the Royal Caribbean Cruise a bit higher, they have similar length of voyage and ports of call, although Royal Caribbean offers more destinations, they have a cruise for Asia and the Middle East.  They both offer shore excursions tours of attractions in ports of call and activities such as hiking, biking and snorkeling.  However, which one has a better fleet?

Both fleets have similarities but there are also differences, it really depends on where you want to go and what you want to do.  Here is a list you might want to read when deciding which cruise company to choose.

Their destinations, Royal Caribbean offers more locations in South America, the Caribbean, Europe, North America, they also sail in the Middle East and Australia.  The Carnival Cruise lines on the other hand only visits locations in North America, the Caribbean and Europe.  So if your destinations is not in either of those locations you might want to consider the Royal Caribbean Cruise lines.  When it comes to destinations Royal Caribbean Cruise lines offers more places to visit.

The two cruise lines offer unique deals, the Carnival Cruise Line Offers the Cruise to Nowhere which gives you the opportunity to experience the cruise ship experience without taking too much of your time just a fun filled vacation on a cruise ship. While the Royal Caribbean offers themed cruises for different times of the year.
Both the Royal Caribbean and the Carnival Cruise lines offer cruise tours, a combination of cruise and shore excursions, which let cruise travelers go further inland before or after their cruise vacation.

The two cruise lines offer free room service and delicious food and friendly staff.  You have to keep in mind though; Carnival has a more younger crowd than Royal Caribbean does, if you don’t want to be around college kids, I would recommend Royal Caribbean.  If you want to party then the Carnival cruise line is perfect for you.

When it comes to price, Carnival Cruise seems a bit cheaper compared to the Royal Caribbean especially during the off-season, but not by much.  However if you want to really be on a certain budget and wouldn’t mind little things like bigger staterooms Carnival cruises might be the cruise line for you.

Basically both the Carnival Cruises and the Royal Caribbean have the same prices, offer the same amenities and features.  They are both the best in the cruising industry; they are at par when it comes to the quality of fleet, experience and services.  It is up to you the cruise traveler to decide which of the two fleets is best suited for you.
