POPE CLEMENTS TRAIL During the reign of Pope Clement VIII, 1592 - 1608, several coffee emporiums opened throughout Rome. These establishments were notorious for being slightly seedy and filled with dark devilment. The Bishops asked Pope Clement to excommunicate coffee immediately! After hearing this request Pope Clement decided to investigate these unholy establishments. He was completely entranced with the rich heavenly aroma and the divine taste of coffee. Pope Clements did not banish coffee as the drink of heathens - this black nectar must be from the Gods!! THANK YOU POPE CLEMENTS AND what would a road trip be without a GOOD cup of coffee! You know, the kind that has flavour without spending $4 per cup. KEEP WATCHING - we plan to list our favourite coffee stops right here - Winnipeg to Masset!
