PRESS KIT
The
Great Western Muse Cruise is an electronic showcase of Canadian arts and
culture – presented in a format for travelers.
The Cruise offers culture seekers the maps and information for getting
the most out of a trip to Western Canada.
The
Great Western Muse Cruise website lists
galleries, studios, museums and theatres – emphasis is on arts and culture
venues. This accumulated
information was created to document a lucrative industry that is often
overlooked by policy makers and not presented to its potential to Canadian and
International travelers – Cultural Tourism.
A bonus to the Muse Cruise presentation is commentary and
thoughts from people who have patronized the establishments, an added feature of
recommended places to eat and sleep, and suggested theme tours.
This is a huge endeavor, four provinces wide. For that we have looked for guidance from organizations like YellowheadIT! Highway Association and Travel Alberta, as well as many independent artists, gallery owners, musicians and thespians. We doubt very much that this program will ever be complete as the industry grows substantially every year! What we like to call the West’s truly sustainable industry!

One, that when trekking, you will be able to travel with as a paper travel guide complete with GPS assisted programming. For hand held devices (smartphones and IPods) - map your trek on google earth before you leave the airport! Web content on these artists studios theatres galleries will include short video 'visits' in the revised 2010 version! So many changes - so many wonderful artists to find... |
