QUESTIONS...
1. I'm confused. I want to be there on Friday night and stay until Monday morning. I want to do a large stone mosaic and on Sunday morning I want a beginners class in mandolin. How much am I looking at for the weekend? I have a companion so it will be double occupancy.
Well, the weekend for you would be $630 all meals and accommodations paid. That includes the Friday night Arts Jasper event too! You have two additional costs to your weekend. To create a large mosaic is $100 for materials. To take a beginners mandolin class on Sunday morning is $25. Your total weekend would now be $755. Your companion would not be included in that fee.
2. I am unable to be there on Friday night and have to be back at work on Monday morning so I guess I am only staying for Saturday night - leaving after supper on Sunday. What would the total of my weekend be? I just want to paint and listen to music and enjoy nature. I am alone - don't think I will have a roommate.
Calculate that as $630 less the Friday night music and accommodation, less the Sunday night accommodation and Monday breakfast. Total would be $630 minus $25 minus $75 minus $75 minus $15 respectively = $440 plus another $75 for private accommodation on the Saturday as you don't have a roommate. Your weekend would cost you $515.
3. I will be in Jasper that weekend but not able to attend...but I would love to come by on Saturday night for IMPROV with Beth Gignac! Is that possible even though I am not a participant in anything else?
Yes. On the webpage that describes the weekend calendar you will see 'DROP IN FEES'. If you want to 'drop in' for Saturday evening it will cost you $25. If you wanted to come earlier and have dinner that is also possible - the column on DROP IN FEES is for folks who cannot attend the whole weekend. (hint - its cheaper to attend the whole weekend)
4. It looks like everything has an extra fee attached! What exactly am I paying $630 for?
On the webpage that describes the weekend calendar you will note that the things that are included with the $630 are listed in green on the right hand side. All of your meals and accommodation and the meet and greet and several of the workshops have no extra fees. The only workshops that have fees are the stone workshop - stones are heavy! and you will understand when you see the work involved in bringing that caliber of workshop to Artists in the Pines - and the personalized instructional workshops by Back Porch Swing. The midday and evening jams with Back Porch Swing are included in your package.
