Bring a variety of other drawing media, as there will be an experimental
aspect to this course.
Suggestions:
A coil-ringed sketch-book
Vine charcoal sticks or charcoal pencil
Kneadable eraser
Wooden cooking skewer
Exacto knife
1 pad of cartridge paper (sketch paper) 18” X 24”
Pad of newsprint paper
1 fine tipped permanent pen (black Sharpie)
An HB pencil (or a full range of graphite pencils or graphite sticks)
**Chinese or India ink 1small bottle
Oriental brush ( small or medium max-#6 )
*Gouache or water colours
*Coloured pencils (preferably water soluble)
*Coloured chalk
*** paint brushes (I recommend Winsor and Newton ‘Regency Gold’- filbert
round and flats, a variety of sizes)
Cotton rags (old T-shirts are best)
*at least one of these media are necessary for those interested in the colour
workshop.
